Loved it!
This is a lovely home with so much character. It is so conveniently close to everything we needed and wanted to see. The bedroom is so quiet and cool with the air conditioning on at night. It is so hot here right now so the lovely dipping pool saved us from too much discomfort. Great restaurants and shopping in this area. I would stay here again and can highly recommend it.

This is an amazing place. Old house with amazing details. Close to downtown and near Mercado Santiago. My favorite place. I’d stay again at Tim’s house. Tim was very responsive and attentive.

Spacious and beautiful!
We were really happy with our stay here. The location was excellent and it was an easy walk to anywhere in centro, including the Grand Plaza, and even the Paseo de Montejo. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated, the pool and patio area were a nice, comfortable place to relax in the middle of the day or evening, and the rooftop patio was a real bonus! I'd definitely recommend it!!

It's always a pleasure to see the evolving food, art, music, people and cultural scene--there is so much here to experience. You can feel the history and explore the many fascinating Archeological and natural wonders nearby. It's great knowing Casa La Barenda is an easy day-trip from many areas on the planet, yet it's a world away! Being able to walk to everything in the Centro Historico and only twenty minutes from Merida’s international airport makes it a snap to go.
