You are never far from a beach at La Cinuelica. Some are within walking distance, others are a short drive, and many are 'Blue Flag' beaches, Punta Prima, La Zenia, Playa Flamenca and Cabo Roig are our favourites. The four championship golf courses of Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and La Finca are all within a fifteen minute drive of the apartment.
Ways to fill your time, including restaurants: There is much more to do in the area apart from lazing on the beautiful beaches, and playing golf.
To get the best out of the area, you may wish to hire a car. However, a car isn't essential as there are many places within walking distance or accessible by public transport.
There are too many attractions, markets, bars and restaurants to list, but the following list may give you some idea ....
La Cinuelica has both Chinese and Italian restaurants within the development, from which you can also order takeaways. The Rocajuna bar is good for a drink, and hosts a Friday quiz night.
Within a 15 minute walk, you are spoilt for choice. As well as restaurants specialising in traditional Spanish dishes and fish, you can choose from Italian, Greek and Indian restaurants, as well as the classic English fish'n'chips. Our favourites are Patio Andaluz which has flamenco dancing twice a week, and Puccini's Italian.
Sightseeing and Markets: Torrevieja and Alicante have to be top of the list here.
Orihuela and Murcia are towns also well worth visiting.
Mar Menor is famous for its' salt water lagoon.
Gaudalest village and church high in the mountains is interesting, it is more enjoyable out of season.
Embassament De La Pedrera hydro electric lake.
You can visit a different market every day, should you wish.
The Saturday market at Playa Flamenca is the largest in the area, and sells just about everything.

Villamartin

This 18-hole course is on mountainous ground, with the many trees and water features making the course very interesting for players who like to take a few risks. The course isn't too long, and is well adapted to the natural surroundings and terrain.
Las Ramblas
Course designer : Pepe Gancedo,
Featuring lakes, deep gorges, bridges and thick wooded areas,
set in the Spanish countryside, the tight fairways are a good test of even the finest golfer.
The leafy Mediterranean pines create an unforgettable backdrop for the course, which has spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Real club De Golf Campoamor
Very picturesque, set in a valley with stunning views of the countryside and med coastline. Lush grass, beautiful pine forests and orange trees, all overlooking the area from Torrevieja to La Manga del Mar Menor.
La Finca

Tricky fast greens, the 5th is an island green and the 17th is protected by a large lake.
