What a little paradise this place is. It is a bit hard to find, but oh so private. It is beautifully landscaped if not perfectly kept, which kind of adds to the charm. There is a pool robot which does an adequate job removing a lot of debris falling from the fabulous trees and shrubs from a lovely lovely pool. The yard has lots of individual nooks with pretty painted chairs, a hammock, a clothes line, lawn chairs...Inside we really appreciated the clean throws on the sofas which seemed like a very hygienic solution for a rental house. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms spacious and functional. The kitchen is older and needed some cleaning before we were willing to really get started. The dishwasher is not great and the water is very hard. So we re- cleaned a lot, but that's no big deal. The fridge was hard to regulate and a shelf was broken and mended with plastic wrap, so we removed it. The oven was top and super clean and the gas stove worked great. The kitchen is pretty well equipped, even the teflon frying pans were in good shape! The freezer in a utility room was perfect. One does need to fight nature and keep the little harmless ants at bay and a lizard might surprise you once a while. There are dogs and a donkey in the neighbourhood who bark and honk! We had to fix the DVD player and there was no vacuum cleaner or it was hiding from us. When the town's electricity was cut, the landlords were available, communicative, and attentive. We hadn't met them until Mr. Salfati came to treat the pool the second week and we didn't see them again, so privacy is guaranteed, which was fine with us. We felt trusted and left to enjoy, and boy did we enjoy this beautiful property! We would love to come back to this place and continue our long list of day trips using this as home base!
