Family reunion in Glacier
This property was FANTASTIC! Our family of 6 adults and 3 babies (ages 6months to 70 years old) fit perfectly. Plenty of space for all of us. Super clean! Beds were extremely comfortable. The kitchen had ALL your everyday needs from a variety of pots and pans to a peeler! Truly a home away from home. Great location and several chalets to accommodate several families. We were there for a family reunion and rented 3 chalets accommodated 7 families. Easy access to a variety of activities around Glacier. Including Whitewater rafting, horseback riding, hiking biking, boating and tours in the park and more.. THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL!
Great Location just outside of the park.
This was a very clean property that was conveniently located just a few minutes from West Glacier. Kitchen was well stocked with items we needed for cooking, and the view was wonderful. You park on the lower level, so you will need to walk up stairs to get to the main level. A bit of a challenge for my elderly mother. Second 1/2 bathroom would have been nice but not needed since there were only two of us. If I owned the place, I think I would install dimmer switches for the canned lights in the living areas. I would definitely stay there again.
My family of 8 had a fantastic time. The location in regards to GNP was ideal. The house was clean and we would definitely come back again.
Beautiful home in the perfect location
This house was perfect for our weekend of exploring Glacier National Park. Check-in and check-out was a breeze, and the house had everything we needed. The house is located just a few miles from the west entrance to the park, which was awesome. We also really enjoyed the view of the mountains from the home's large windows.
We enjoyed our stay!
The view from our chalet was wonderful, and it was obvious particular care had been given to the crystal clear cleanliness of the windows and style of blinds. It’s the small things that count, and little details made our stay quite comfortable. Our only minor qualms were with the quality of the knives in the kitchen, the lack of laundry detergent on hand for cleaning up after ourselves, and the difficulty we had using the key (it was really hard to lock/unlock the front door). During our stay we saw deer and turkeys and other wildlife right outside our door, and the BBQ was great. If you’re a runner, you’ll enjoy an amazing 5 mile route with hills and gorgeous scenery. We recommend arriving in Whitefish by train/plane to rent a car before driving to the chalet to avoid a one hour wait for an $80 taxi ride in to Kalispell (however, there is a paved bike trail from West Glacier proper to the chalets).
Thank you for your feedback! We are very disappointed to have received a 3 star review and have taken action on your response. Instead of leaving 3 pods of laundry detergent we have put an entire jug of pods so guests can do as much laundry as they like. In the past, we have found that sometime folks take extra supplies with them so have limited what we offer, but are going to try again in hopes that people just use it during their stay and don't take extra for the trip home. I also tested the keys and found one was good and the other didn't work as well. I threw out the OK key and had new keys made with the good key. I tested them and they are in good shape. Last, I will take the knives in to be sharpened. There is a full set, but many people put them in the dishwasher, which dulls them, so we will sharpen them now and then again at the end of the season. Thanks!
Ideal Home Base for Glacier Park Adventures
We enjoyed our short stay at the chalet. The location really couldn't be better as a jumping-off point for Glacier Park, and the nearby rivers, lakes and towns. The chalet was clean, very comfortable, and well appointed. Take note of the single bathroom. Also, a word to the wise: it's really not hard to find, but don't rely on the VRBO app for directions and entry instructions, better to save them somewhere offline as cell signal is iffy in the area (Verizon).
