This house holds many memories for Diane, David, Ozro & Avis along with their children as both generations have known it as Grandma's Place.
While the 4 were small their grandparents Joe and Rosa Aebly farmed here, milk cows and chickens were a part of life. Making balony in the basement, canning bounty from the garden, clothes out on the line drying & eating strawberries with angelfood cake are a few of the memories from the 1950s and 1960s. When cousins came from out of town hide and go seek in the dark along with tag were several of the games played in the yard.
The large front porch was a great place to gather on warm evenings, watching planes arrive or depart, watching fireworks that were shot off at the drvie-in theater or just talking.
Though the animals were no longer here, the next generation remembers the large garden along with their grandma generating many great smells coming from the kitchen as she cooked large meals for everyone that would gather. Grandpa spent time showing the boys how to do woodworking and fix things.
From the 70s thorough the 90s the land was farmed by the middle generation. Cousins continue to till the soil here.
