Lovely villa so close to the beach
We had a fantastic stay. Lovely comfortable villa with our own pool. So close to the beach and easy walk into the town. We have stayed at Burriana many times and would thoroughly recommend the villa. Hope we can go back next year.
We're very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. The house is always popular, especially as it is probably the nearest property to the beach with its own pool.
We look forward to hearing from our guests again, if at any time they visit Nerja in the future.
Det var en mycket trevlig stad dock mycket backar att gå i. Huset vi hyrde var mycket trevligt, nära till havet och många restauranger.
English translation: "It was a very nice town, but a lot of hills to walk in. The house we rented was very nice, close to the sea and many restaurants".
We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay. The house, with its own pool, is very near the beach an all facilities. This makes it an ideal property for those who may not wish to do a lot of walking in and and around Nerja.
Lovely villa townhouse in close proximity to beach and town centre
Arrived to a small welcome pack which was appreciated. Villa is a great size with a lovely patio to enjoy a pre dinner aperitif! We didn’t get to use the pool much as it was cold (expected in April) It is in close proximity to beach (5 min walk), town centre(10-15 min walk) and supermarkets (large one 15-20 min walk) All in all we had a great week despite a mixed bag of weather! A couple of things to mention, the cleaning stuff was in a downstairs cupboard which wasn’t included in the info and this could do with some replacements. The hoover bag was so full it wasn’t picking up. As there was no replacement bags provided my Dad had to empty some of it to get the hoover to work. Also the mattresses in the triple room were not that comfortable and the bedding has seen better days. We would have also liked a few more towels as only had 4 large and 4 hand towels between 5 of us. These are just some wee things that would have taken the stay to 5 stars. Communication with owners was excellent, Derek was very responsive to emails and their property managers arranged our transfers and responded really quickly when we had a short power cut. Thanks for a great holiday.
We're pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay, in spite of the unseasonal weather Nerja experienced in April. We apologise for the missing towels, each person should have their own set, including children, we can always provide extra if requested. Mattress comfort is always a difficult issue, depending on the personal preference of guests. When replacing, we've always been guided by the suppliers, as to their all-round suitability for rental properties.
Great place in the summer time but different in December.
Quite cold and definitely damp when we arrived. Very poor mattresses and pillows on the beds. AC units heated rooms at night but never really got rid of the damp feeling and smell.
Nerja's Burriana area is not always the best place in the winter when the sun is at it's lowest, especially down by the beach, where the steep sides of the mountains restrict any warmth from the sun. Our a/c units, which become heaters in the winter, usually keep the house warm and dry. We're a bit surprised about the pillow comments, as we replaced all of them last summer, but we will get the beds checked for any damage. We feel mattress comfort, whether hard or soft, is personal opinion, so when replacing mattresses we've always gone for medium.
The property was filthy, rundown and a ruined holiday
We arrived at the townhouse on the 19 Aug 2017 for 2 weeks excited! We paid directly to the owners out of a trust fund for serious injury after a horrific accident so the holiday meant everything, there were no sea views the patios were in a terrible state of repair, the pool had tiles missing which with a young child was dangerous there is a 20 ft drop next to the pool next to the sewer flow which was very bad with a lot of flies it is on a very noisy road, there is damp everywhere and downstairs bedroom was unusable, sofa bed is a hard dirty settee, the kitchen and bathrooms were unusable until we cleaned them ourselves and the bedding was. Dirty stained mattresses, I couldn't wait to come home, we complained to the owners about the condition of the town house and received a letter 1 month later accusing my family of being thieves the property manager Phil was rude and disrespectful and we never saw a cleaner neither did the property before our arrival I've had lovely holidays with owners direct and met the most helpful owners of properties in the past, this holiday caused nothing but upset regret and mistrust it was misleading to the highest form, derek and Mandy asked us to go through a complaints procedure which we did only to be accused of a crime of theft so they didn't have to take responsibility of their misleading property I wish them luck in the future of misleading hard working people and I'm glad my holiday is over never to return. Nerja is a beautiful place just make sure you know where to stay for me it wouldn't be this property
We have been renting property through Home Away and its predecessor Holiday-Rentals, both in Nerja and the French Alps for 29 years. Never have we experienced a more difficult client, whose claims are not only false, but we believe are libellous. We have considered taking the matter to court, but we really haven't got the time or interest. We would refer potential renters to recent reviews, just prior to this guest. Subsequent guests, whom we visited in person, have been more than happy and a recent viewing, a fortnight after this guest, has resulted in a reservation in 2018. We have every confidence in our property and our team in Nerja. To all potential renters, feel free to contact us for any concerns you may have.
"what a find in nerja"
we loved this property the moment we walked in to the moment we left,it is bright and spacious and maintained to a high standard just minutes from the beach and a ten minute stroll to town, the property has all the essentials for cooking and has two fridges, it also has a modern tv and dvd player but we had such a good time and enjoyed the outside space we did not have the tv on while we were there. a return visit for us is a must as staying anywhere else in nerja would be a let down.
We're fortunate to have a property so near the beach and the town centre, with it's own pool and a large living area. We look forward to seeing Mr Burns again, sometime in the future.
