Beide Studios sind identisch, wobei man das Spiegelbild des anderen ist. Jeder hat Queensize-Bett aus lokaler roter Zeder. 'Vier-Poster' Stil Baldachin / Moskitonetz. Sprung Matratzen.
Wir haben ein ausziehbares Einzelbett und ein Kinderbett für ein Kind. Großer Whirlpool Kühlschrank / F, Saffire Herd mit integriertem Grill, Toaster, Wasserkocher. liquidizer Geschirr / Besteck für 4 + Töpfe / Pfannen
Kleiner persönlicher Safe. Weiße Baumwollbettwäsche und Handtücher werden gestellt.
Sie können die Aussicht sehen, ohne aus dem Bett zu kommen! 2 Sätze von louvered roten Zedertüren öffnen sich auf den Balkon.
Die Bäder sind "Nassräume", voll gefliest und von guter Größe.
Die Zimmer sind natürlich ziemlich cool, aber es gibt auch tragbare Fans. Die Decke ist hoch und mit den gefliesten Böden bleiben den ganzen Tag ziemlich cool. Hier oben haben wir kaum noch viele Moskitos und eine Brise weht die meisten Tage.
Eine Vielzahl von lokalen Vögeln kommen herum, die Vegetation ist ziemlich üppig und wir haben Mango, Banane, Pfote Pfote und frische Kräuter usw. wachsen im Garten. Wi-Fi-Zugang überall. BBQ

Carpe Diem Villa wurde Ende 2007 fertig gestellt. Half Fachwerkbau über einem Block Erdgeschoss. Es ist unser Haus und wurde für die USA entworfen, um zu leben und aus lokalen Materialien mit allen lokalen Arbeit zu konstruieren. Der ganze Punkt des Hauses sollte die Aussicht auf die Bast von Castara nutzen. Es liegt zurück und 80 Meter über der Northside Road im Dorf Castara, einem kleinen, unberührten Fischerdorf an der Karibikküste von Tobago. Sie finden nicht Jetskis etc, aber Sie finden Ruhe und eine Chance, sich wirklich zu entspannen. Der Strand ist sicher und von den Dorfbewohnern sauber gehalten. Rettungsschwimmer sind während des Tages im Dienst. Es gibt keine Hustler! Sie werden gewöhnlich gebeten, sich zu bewegen. Im Dorf sind Führer und Bootsmänner, um dich in den Regenwald zu bringen, Wasserfälle zu besuchen, dich zu fischen und dann zu einem Bbq den Fang an einem einsamen Strand zu machen. Die lokalen Bars sind freundlich mit Einheimischen, Expats und Besucher alle "liming" zusammen. Verbrechen ist fast nicht vorhanden. Das Eigentum wird von 8 Überwachungskameras abgedeckt.

the most rewarding way of being a tourist
A paerfectly equiped flat with a great view of the sea and lots of trees. flowers and birds around. The owners were very welcoming d and are prodigal of informations about the place, the people and the way the every day life goes on, so you feel able to integrate in a way you don't normally encounter when you are on vacation on your own in a foreign place.

This place is the perfect holiday getaway. The apartment was clean and the view was even better than pictured. The caretaker to great care of us indeed, with good communication and some recommendations as well. A short walk to all the essentials of town and the beaches.

We went to Castara for the Thursday night beach bon fire & live steel drums! What a lovely place! And I cannot say enough about Chris & Yvonne, such an amazing couple, we had a lot of fun with them. We will DEFINITELY be back next year.

If you're looking for an all-inclusive, luxury, resort-style vacation get away, Carpe Diem studio is NOT for you. If you're looking for wild, all-night parties and clubs then the entire small, sweet town of Castara is not for you. If a few mosquitoes could ruin your vacation, keep looking. You could find an air-conditioned place, near night clubs in Crown Point, or just stay in Trinidad or go to Florida. (Also, if you have a difficult time walking on stairs, you might want to find a different studio.) However, Carpe Diem in Castara was exactly what my companion and I were looking for. The studio is clean, airy and comfortable. The town is laid back, friendly and not overrun with fellow tourists. The deck is at the canopy level of luscious jungly forest that tweets and rattles all day long with vividly colored birds. Just beyond the tree line is a breathtaking, spectacular view of the sea. Sunsets are heavenly. It's a five minute walk to a little beach with excellent snorkeling. We were there towards the end of "tourist season" and we hardly saw anyone else. It's a 10 minute walk to the larger beach, where you will find a few more tourists during the day, as well as a grocery store, open-air restaurant and beach bar, and the local fishermen coming and going. It's a 15 – 20 minute walk to a beautiful waterfall and a cool, fresh-water pool. The groundskeeper Panday, and caretaker Carolyn were wonderfully friendly and helpful. They made sure we had everything we needed, gave us good recommendations and arranged transportation to and from the airport and ferry. (Panday even picked us a big bowl of fresh mangoes.) We loved every minute of our vacation here, even the rainy ones.

Castara charm
We enjoyed our time in Castara and Chris and Yvonne were helpful and considerate hosts. The room was nicely outfitted with all the necessities including 2 much appreciated fans (AC is not on the menu and we booked knowing and not wanting it). Castara is a charming small town and we enjoyed meals at most of the usual spots. The hosts provide tons of useful information in a guide in the room. We used Castara as our base to poke around the island and we hiked in the park, went to beautiful Englishman’s Bay, went on a snorkeling trip from Speyside including a stop in Little Tobago. Like others have noted, issues with the bank machine in town continue and it is not well stocked with cash. Chris and Yvonne were working to get it resolved, but I suggest to bring the cash (TT or USD) you will need. Head to Castara and enjoy the beach, the food and life in the slow lane. And grab some fresh baked goodies at the beach (put your order in the morning for afternoon pick up).

I have spent all my working life to date making things happen for others. Building this house is Yvonne and myself making it happen for us and as a bonus we have been able to create a beautiful place for others to enjoy as much as we do.
I was in the live music production business and Yvonne was a property manager for a local estate agent in the UK. We have worked hard and still do as few of us are really ever able to retire early and enjoy the fruits of our labors. We call it semi retirement.!
You only go around once so you cannot let life pass you by. We all do and then it is too late, you do not get a second chance. We love life.
Living or staying in Castara is about as good as it gets!

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

I was sitting on the hillside when it was all scrub looking out at the view of the bay after I found out the land was available and said 'This is it!'.
We decided we needed to stop thinking about a house in the sun and actually build it before we were too old to enjoy it!
Then we could share it with family and friends. We fell in love with the village after coming here on holiday and getting involved with the aftermath of the only hurricane to hit the island in a 40 odd years. We were made welcome from the start.
The area and the village, beach, the people etc just tick all the right boxes for us. You only get a chance to do something like this once.
You can say lets look elsewhere and then think why did we not stay in Castara.
Opportunities like this only come once in lifetime...Carpe Diem..."Seize the day"

Das macht diese Unterkunft einzigartig

Castara is a friendly working fishing village set at the edge of the rain forest on the Caribbean side of the island..., it has its own waterfall & pool, great beaches, rain forest, a reef, good fishing, sunshine, I am sorry but we would have been mad not to have said yes!
It is away from the busier south of the island with it's more tourist oriented areas but still less than an hour from the airport and main town of Scarborough if, and it is a big if, we ever need to go there!
We can walk down to either beach , shop go for a drink without needing a car. We buy fresh fish or catch it ourselves, local produce is there at the end of the road or actually in the garden. The best mango tree is behind the house, they drop, roll down and end up by the kitchen door!
At the end of the day we have the one of the best views in the village and it would have been selfish not to want to share it.
