Great accommodation close to everything
Great accommodation only a quick stroll to restaurant's and Suncorp stadium. 10 minute bus to the cbd. Modern kitchen and living area but why would you cook when you can enjoy the food nearby. Go for the 2 for 1 curry at The Paddington Curry House on Tuesdays.
Thanks for that Andrew and Hilary. What great guests. Extremely low maintenance people. Left our little home as they found it. Completely understood the value proposition. Ridiculously low price in arguably one of the top three most expensive suburbs in Brisbane, clean, 2 km to the city, close to all amenities, close to public transport. Respected our time by arriving on time for the meet and greet. Everything works out just fine thereafter almost every time because we have then had the opportunity to explain all the nuances relating to the stay as well as facilitating any additional queries. Thanks again Andrew.
Fantastic place, great service, will stay again!
From the outset, when Adrian called me to touch base, I knew we'd have a good experience staying here. It is a simple, charming little place in a very nice suburb with lots of basic amenities within walking distance and only a short bus ride or Uber from the city. We were met by the owner's friend, Jeremy, who made himself available to show us around the place and answer any of our queries. He was also on call throughout our visit. I couldn't be happier with the 'stay away' experience provided by Adrian, Jeremy and Abbey Cottage and will certainly look to stay there on my next trip to Brisbane. Thanks again, guys.
Awesome location really great value for money
Staying in Brisbane has never been easier. Abbey Cottage was just perfect for our family of 4 with 2 smaller children The unit itself is beautifully refurbished with a modern and homely feel. Plenty of street parking available and less than 100mtrs from the front door is the bus stop making it very easy to travel in and out of the city. A short stroll down the road brings you to the shops, cafes and restaurants enjoying the views of the city as you go. I would like to say that dealing with the owners was more than pleasant as great customer service is very important to me. There is wireless internet provided if required at no charge which was helpful for researching what to do and where to eat etc around the town. A flat screen TV with DVD and usb kept kids and parents amused before bedtime in comfy beds. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking of staying in Brisbane
Cosy, yet surprisingly spacious
Our family of three adults and three small children had a lovely stay at Abbey Cottage. The location just off Latrobe Terrace was very convenient, both for access to the cafe strip at Paddington and as a central location for seeing more of Brisbane. Street parking was always available within a very short walking distance.
Inside the house, the artful employment of mirrors really made the small apartment seem airy. The newly renovated kitchen, toilet and bathroom included modern fittings, although the bath itself was somewhat older. All the rooms were bright and clean, with large windows and plenty of natural light.
All in all, we felt the property was value for money in an excellent location.

Abbey cottage was a nice change from hotel rooms, having little children this homely enviroment was ideal. Abbey cottage was perfect. Nice and quite, clean and close to all amenities. Adrian and Kerry were lovely, helpful and happy to be called if needed. Would recommend this gorgeous cottage to anyone wanting the comforts of home.
There must be something about the place - having stayed there for a week, we are now hooked. My wife
There must be something about the place - having stayed there for a week, we are now hooked. My wife in particular has grown very fond of the place, as well as its surroundings. We are already talking about the next holiday to be spent 'there'. When you travel, you usually like the city or the country you visit. But the house in which you happen to stay? - it's nicely unusual. For wireless geeks out there, here is one note about internet connectivity: it's a cable connection. There were two ethernet cables provided, one of which worked for us. I got my MacBook Air connected there (because my Airport Express didn't work), from which internet was shared wirelessly with my iPad etc. Just so you know. Once again, it is a lovely place, and it is very likely that we will be there again.
