Staying at Kosy Grove was like taking a step back in time. This charming antebellum plantation home is spotless and we'll preserved with TLC. Each room has its own character and is tastefully filled with well appointed antiques and interesting memorabilia. The accomodations are very comforable--beds, AC, heating, washer/dryer etc. with all the amenities of home.
The picturesque grounds with manicured lawns and towering shade trees provide wonderful opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. We sat on the porch swing and basked in the glow of the starry night sky and sipped mimosas under a gazebo converted from a silo. An added bonus is the barn and pasture for the 6 friendly Arabian horses, who enjoyed eating apples from our hands.
Anne, the proprietor, graciously offered her hospitality and help as she shared her knowledge, family experiences and history as well as advice for shopping, activities, sight-seeing, restaurants etc.
We left Kosy Grove with so much more than we came with...a new appreciation and understanding of the people and way of life in this rural area and wonderful memories to last a lifetime.
