I rented the Villa for my husband’s 70th birthday celebration. I wanted family and friends to be able to all stay in the same house, not in separate casitas or hotel rooms. It turned out to be the perfect place for us. We had 9 adults and 3 children. The rooms divided out to be perfect for the group, and the house and grounds so large that no one felt cramped, nor that their room was second-best to any other.
The location was perfect for a meeting point for those of us from northern Nevada, from Denver, and from Southern California. What a gorgeous valley, looking toward the hills, over the grape vines just outside the fences around the house. Several wineries literally next door or down the road, if you want a quick outing. But staying at the property is where we wanted to be. Too wonderful to leave for long. We were there in early June warm weather so were able to use the pool (which is not heated) so that gave us a lot more to do than you might have in cool weather, but the spa near the pool could also be used, if it were colder out.
The kitchen is massive, almost two or double-size of every appliance. I hired private chefs for two dinners, to replace going out to restaurants with such a large group, and the chefs loved having so much space, not to mention cooking while looking right out the door at the gorgeous view. We also got great wood-fired pizzas and salads from the restaurant Stock Farm Hopland. The village of Hopland is about a 4-minute drive away.
We spent a magical four nights here, and have memories I know no one will forget.
Thank you, Jennifer, for making this home available and for answering my many questions so promptly.
